A plus size occasion dress built in two layers: a soft jersey shift underneath, and a chiffon overlay that floats over it and finishes in a handkerchief hem. It reads dressed up without asking anything of you.
The yoke and the upper sleeve are worked in an open lattice, so the shoulder line stays light while the body of the dress stays fully lined. Flared three quarter sleeves cover the upper arm. The overlay falls away from the waist rather than clinging to it, which is what keeps the shape forgiving through the middle.
