A large shawl in a linen-look gauze
This shawl measures 180 x 100 cm, so there is enough cloth to wind it twice around your neck or to open it right out over both shoulders. The gauze is loosely woven from a slubbed yarn, which gives it the dry, faintly uneven surface of linen, and the two short ends are left unhemmed so they fray into a soft fringe.
Wear it as a scarf or as a wrap
Looped and knotted it sits like an ordinary scarf and disappears under a collar. Opened out it is a wrap: over a summer dress once the evening cools, across your shoulders on a plane, or folded on your lap. The cloth is thin enough to push into a bag pocket, and the creases it picks up there hang out again on their own.

The range runs from ivory, beige and khaki through to yellow, army green, rusty red and burgundy, and every one is plain with no pattern. The weave, the fringe and the measurements are identical across the colours, so the only thing to choose is the shade. Because it is a light weave rather than a warm knit, it carries through spring and summer and layers under a coat in the cold months.
